How long have you been a pediatrician and how long have you been with GHPA?
I have been in pediatrics for 6 years, which includes 3 years of residency at Wake Forest and 3 years working at Green Hills Pediatric Associates.
What were you like as a child? (Any favorite activities or strong personality traits?)
My mom described me as being a happy, curious, self-motivated and well-rounded child. I played the piano and flute, enjoyed dance and art, played basketball and served on the student government.
What inspired you to become a pediatrician?
I was always fascinated by science and I loved coming to GHPA as a child. I thought that being a pediatrician was the best job in the world. At age 10 years old, I decided that I would be a pediatrician.
What do you enjoy most about being a pediatrician?
I love watching all of my patients grow up and parents coming into their own.
What important lessons have you learned since being a pediatrician?
Children are so resilient and are truly a blessing from God.
What is your top piece of advice for parents?
Enjoy every moment with your child because they grow up so fast!
What is one fact that most people don’t know about you?
I do chalk pastel art work and wanted to be an art major in college. I worked as an EMT and phlebotomist. I have a cat named Bleu who loves fruit.
